A letter to Mary Moore from her sister, Bettie Franklin, and her mother, Matilda Dodd. In the letter, Franklin tells Moore about the birth of her son. She tells Moore that she has not yet named the child and asks Moore to suggest a name. Dodd and Franklin both discuss the weather and the state of the farm.
