Potosi July 22^ 1827
Dear Brother
We rec^ yours of.the 26th of May and James of the 24
of May by the last mail we was rejoiced to hear from you. We
was afraid the Indians were troublesom&a^ to you. Milums Bro-
ther wrote to him a short time since that he had been ordered to
St Antone to aid in suppressing the Indians in that neighbourhood.
We are happy to hear you are at peace. With respect to our re-
moving to your Country we have made no arrangements. Emily offen
talks of you, and would be rejoiced to live near you, but my bus-
iness is so situated that if we was disposed to remove we could
not for a year or two I would like very Much to visit you and
see your country but it will be out of my power this year.in one
of Brother James former letters he says there is a prospect of
Texes being Trensfered to the United States, if that should ever
be I may then become your neighbour but at pre ent I feel no de-
sire to become a Mexican, althougRij if I could spare the time I
would like verry -uch to visit you I reed a letter from a M?
James Graham Sn^ of Wythe County Virginia enquiring respecting a
tract of land containing 3500 acres survayed by your Father in
1785. he says it has been entered and Patents obtained, he says
jt is now worth something for the timber it being in the neigh-
bourhood of Iron works, that the land is worth nothing only for
the timber he wishes to purchase it if it still belongs to your
Fathers Heirs he does not say what he will give ^or it. he says
he expects the papers relating Lto] it is among your Fathers I
