Shenna Parker, Christopher
Courange wed in N. Carolina
Shenna Parker and Christopher Courange
of Jacksonville, North Carolina, were married
on Saturday, May 7, at 5 o'clock in the evening
at Haw Branch Church in Richlands, North
Carolina.
Reverend Edna Fisher, grandmother of the:
bride, performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Tim Knapp of Richlands and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Courange of Cana-
dian.
The bride was given in marriage by her
grandfather, Raeford Parker. She wore a
white floor length gown and carried a bouquet
of white roses accented by daisies. The bride
carried a lace handkerchief that belongs to the
groom's great-grandmother Emma Herron of
Gurdon, Arkansas, and had been carried by
Kassie Gilmore, sister of the groom, on her
wedding day.
The maid of honor was Rebecca Shiller of
Jacksonville, North Carolina. Bridesmaids
were Netalia Saunders, sister of the bride,
Kassie Gilmore, sister of the groom, and Jes-
sica Griffin.
The best man was Thomas Schiller of Jack-
sonville. Groomsmen were Justin Saunders,
brother of the bride, Adam Gilmore, brother-
in-law of the groom, and Jared McLarry, cous-
in of the groom. Clerra Knapp, sister of the
bride, was flower girl and MacKenzie Greer,
cousin of the bride, was ring attendant.
Netalia Saunders sang "Back at One" by
Brian McKnight as the bride entered the
church. Kassie Gilmore read a scripture after
the exchange of vows by the couple.
Following the wedding, a reception and dance
were held at the Richlands Community Building.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach the
couple will be at home in Jacksonville, North
Carolina.
The bride graduated from Richlands High
School in Richlands, North Carolina, and the
groom graduated from Canadian High School.

The Metcalfe Museum was recently
a subject of an article in Tourism Mo-
mentum, the electronic newsletter of
the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation
Department.
The article, titled "Museum Makes
National Register List," appeared in
the July 2005 issue and was written
by Tourism Momentum editor Krista
Townsend. Townsend, who resides in
Oklahoma City, is also Public Rela-
tions Specialist with the OTRD. In the
story, Townsend discusses the recent
listing of the Break 0' Day Farm in the
National Register of Historic Places.
Break O' Day Farm is the historic
homestead of the late pioneer artist Au-
gusta Metcalfe. The Metcalfe Museum,
which houses her art, is located on the
same property.

Celia Woods in pageant
('elia Woods was a State Finalist in the
National American Miss Texas Pageant held
July 29 through August 2 at the Hotel In-
tercontinental in Dallas. Celia brought home
two trophies- and two ribbons, including most
photogenic and casual wear modeling. She is a
junior this year and is the daughter of Sherrie
and Brian Woods of Granbury and the grand-
daughter of H.L. and Joyce Thomas and the
great-granddaughter of Georgia Thomas, all
of Canadian. #33
