PREFACE
THIS volume, prepared and distributed under the direction and
supervision of the Secretary of State, contains all the general and
special laws of Texas including the appropriation acts and all
joint and concurrent resolutions, passed by the following:
57th Legislature, 3rd Called Session
58th Legislature, Regular Session.
Each law has been assigned a separate chapter number. For
convenience of reference the laws for each session are arranged
chronologically by their approval or filing dates and in numerical
order by chapter number. The joint and concurrent resolutions
appear immediately following the text of the laws.
The Tables show the prior Acts and the Articles of the Re-
vised Civil Statutes, the Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Proce-
dure and other Codes amended or repealed together with Tables
showing where all the bills and resolutions may be found in the
volume.
The constitutional amendments adopted by the People on No-
vember 8th, 1962, and the amendments proposed at the Regular
Session of the 58th Legislature, 1963, are included in this volume.
The text of the laws has been authenticated by the Secretary
of State.
