Precious Memories
The sun rose on August 19, 1927, and set on her life October
31, 2006. She was born to John T. Browning and Dottie Be
Jones in Flint, Texas. She was the eleventh of fourteen
children.
Mother Anderson gave her life to Christ at an early age. She
joined Greater Evangelist Temple Church in 1983, where she
served as the Pastor's Aid President, on the Usher Board, sang
in the G.E.T. Women's Choir, and as a willing worker.
Mother Anderson attended Emmitt Scott in Tyler, Texas. She
graduated in 1945 and attended St. Philips College majoring
in Nursing. She worked as a nurse at Southeast Baptist
Hospital for 25 years.
For approximate six years she was employed with the K n K
Development and Learning Center. She earned the Teacher of
the Year award in 2003. All the children called her "Granny."
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie Crayton
and Tommie Anderson, by a sister, Pearlie Battles, and
brothers L.C. Browning, Earl Browning, Stephen Browning,
Wilbert Browning, Cleophia Browning, R.D. Browning,
Bradis Browning, Arthalia Browning.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters: Dorothy
Walker and Lucile Jones. Two Daughters: Clarine Miller
and Patricia Crayton. Two Sons: J.L. McCuin and Kenneth
Crayton. Five Granddaughters: Lekisha, Brandy, Tameka,
and Brittany Crayton and Danielle Terry. Three Grandsons:
Justin and Kevin McCuin and Jamel Crayton. Two Great
Granddaughters: My'Kael Mackey and Le'Lani McCuin.
One Great Grandson: Darrius Govan. A host of other
relatives, treasured friends, K n K kids, and the Greater
Evangelist Temple church family..
