Dear Doctor Bodcansky:
It is a pleasure to notify you officially, on behalf of the Texas State
iathological Society, that at its last meeting you were given the Award
of Ierit for 1936-37 for your work in the chemistry of heart action.
The information upon which the committee in charge of the award acted
was based upon the many papers upon the general subject stated above and
upon which you have Forked for some years. It was a pleasure to acknow-
ledge the contributions to medical science which these papers clearly in-
dicate and to acknowledge also the work of many people who have assisted
you in this work. Frankly, ze did not understand all of the information
included in your papers, and so we decided to give the award upon the sub-
ject noted above. The Fort Worth Star Telegram for ivay 13 caime out with
a laudatory article concerning you and your work and quoted me quite freely.
"hile no harma is done by these quotations, I want merely to say that at the
request of the officers of the State jiedical Association I did give your
name and the character of your work to a reporter, but the quotations are
entirely his own, for he did not take doin from me any single statement
which could be quoted as such.
Before very long an official certificate showing the award of the -atho-
logical Society will be sent you.
Sincerely yours
President, Texas State
