The Truman G. Blocker, Jr. History of Medicine Collections in the Moody Medical Library at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston holds “one of the world’s great historical collections of books and manuscripts in the history of medicine.” Divided into three major areas of interest, the Blocker Collections holds: the Rare Book Collection which dates to the late 14th century; the University Archives which date to the opening of UTMB in 1891; and the Charles A.
