Dear Bo:
Enclose9- you will find a newspaper clipping that may
be of interest so you, The board of rustees met last wednesday
ana plaoeu oneir approval on iay program. Official announcement
came as a general surprise at commencement the ~ st aay. The news-
paper photographer caught me as I was acknowledging the appointment
at the commencement exercises.
I have had two very happy years here and have enjoyed
the work more than anything I've tackled before. I look for-
ward to a rather interesting time during the next three to five
years....and hope that the bumps I am going to run into will
not be too discouraging.
I've been to New York twice this spring, once to discuss
college affairs and later to attend the Association meetings at
Atlantic City. I've been more than busy getting my omn departmental
work done and trying to get some of the details of the reorgan-
ization more completely worked out. Haven't even attempted to keep
up in back correspondence.
Trustees upped my salary. I will continue as professor of
internal medicine and in the administrative capacity try to help
guide the school over reorganization bumps.
