Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital will be

Sweetwater Retired
Teachers Meeting
The Rolling Plains Unit of Retired School
Personnel would like to invite all retired
teachers and other retired school personnel
to join them for their monthly meeting on
Thursday, Oct. ( at the Sweetwater Country-
Club Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.
and the program will be on the Legislative
updates by Don Huber, the District 14
Legislative Chairman. There will be a short
business meeting after the program. For

Cowboy Church
The Way Cowboy Church will have a
two year anniversary celebration from Oct.
6-9, 2011, at the church, located at 1154 CR
446, between Sweetwater and Roby. On
Thursday there will be a children's meeting
at 6 p.m. and soggy dogs will be served. On
Friday the service will be led by Todd King
and stew and cornbread will be served.
On Saturday, breakfast will be served at 7
a.m. with a trail ride at 8:30 a.m. Lunch
will be served at 1 p.m. and supper will be
served at 6 p.m. There will be music by
Bluff Creek Cowboy Church at 7 p.m. and
at 8 p.m. Marci Grun will lead the service.
On Sunday, Paul Davis will lead the 8 a.m.
service and Carter Edmundson will lead the
10:30 a.m. service. Lunch will be served at

Saturday, Oct. 8
Bass Bonanza
The Highland seniors of 2013 will host a
Bass Bonanza on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at
Lake Sweetwater. Register at Pappy's Bait
and Grill. There is a guaranteed $1,000
first place prize. Boats must be in the water
by 6:30 a.m. with ooze off at 7 a.m., unless
delayed by inclement weather conditions
and weigh in will be at 3 p.m. Entry fee is
S40 per participant and the big fish pot
is $10 (optional, paying one place). Boats
will be released in order of registrations

efit the Highland senior class of 2013.
Heart Walk
The 2011 Sweetwater Heart Walk will
take place on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the
Sweetwater Mustang track field. Registration

Annual Membership Drive
The American Legion Post #227in Roscoe
will be having their Annual Membership
Drive on Saturday, October 8. All veterans,
active duty and family members are encour-
aged to come discover why the American
Legion is for you. Happy Hour will be from
3 to 7 p.m., with a meal of a brisket din-
ner with all the trimmings served at 7 p.m.
