About two weeks ago a Mr.
Parmer, of Missouri, an immi-
giant on his way to Jack county,
camped for the night in the
northern part of the city. Next
morning two valuable horses
were missing. He rode to String-
town and other places, but fail-
ed to find any track of his prop-
erty. Through the exertions of
Deputy Sheriff Douglas one of
these animals has now been
found: in Paris, Lamar county,
and it is 'probable the other one
will be recovered, soon.—Dent-
