Sissy had been counting the
days all week and by the time
Saturday arrived, she was so

that she couldn't eat.
She is one person I know
who doesn't mind being a year
older. Just as long as her friends
come to see her and wish her
"Happy Birthday", Sissy is
really happy.

week's Advertiser stated that
Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Bueiwer of
Brenham were spending several
day with their daughter. Mrs.
Clarence Dolgener. The B'uehrers
are not the parents of Mrs. Dol-
gener. although they did visit
jn the Dolgener home, and with
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Willen-

Baptist WMS
The Womens Missionary So
ciety of tlu First Baptist Church
held its monthly missionary pro-
gram at the church Tuesday
afternoon. July 14.
Mrs. Larry Turner was in
charge of the program and used
as hf subject, "French in Lou
isiana." She was assisted in
the discussion by Mrs. Frank
Brinkman. Mrs. J. V. Ash, Sr.,
and Mrs. C. W. Eskew.
The program was opened with
the group >inging, "Come Thou
Almighty King." The meeting
was closed by a prayer by Mrs.
Larry Turner.
Following the program a so-
cial hour was enjoyed with Mrs.
Gem Simmons and Mrs Vesta
Jones serving as hostesses.
Refreshment.- of iced Cokes
and cookies were served to the

held the bride's bouffant veil.
