men interested in organizing a
Bastrop Junior Chamber of Com-

loom if the First National Bank
Tuesday night. Maurice Strieg-
lei is vice president and Jimmy
Jo. J one.-, secretary-treasurer of
the preliminary organization.
Named to the board of direc-
tor- were Gordon Hefner, James
("lardy and Andrew Donnelly.
Although they cannot affiliate
with the Jayeees until their
membership reaches 25, the
group is anxious to set up a
civic -ervice organization that
will work with other civic or
gani/.ation.- through active par-
ticipation in constructive pro-
jects which will improve the
town and community.
Through such participation, in-
dividual members are trained
for business advancement and
civic leadership.
Member must be 21 through
{■> years old, ages when com-
munity activity and leadership
are frequently denied them when
they are competing with older
and more experienced men in
similar organizations. Within
their own group, they can deve-
lop and expand to become a
leal asset to the town in many
ways.
They invite all young men
who may be interested to visit
them at their next meeting, on
Tuesday night, November 7, in
the bank's civic room. There is
no obligation to join, unless they
feel that they would like to.
Meetings will be held weekly, on
