Beck - Lessing
By Mrs. Arthur Goerti
Miss Catherine Beck, daugh
ter of Mrs. Alois Reck and the
late Mr. Beck of Rockne.
became the bride of George
Lessing, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Lessing of Macdona.
Texas, Saturday, March 2, at 2
p.m.
Father Al Palermo, pastor,
officiated at the double ring
ceremony held in Sacred Heart
Church, Rockne.

trop served as organist for the
occasion. Arrangements of
white gladioli and blue corn
flowers graced the church.

brother, Lloyd Beck, the bride
wore a floor length gown of
white, fashioned with a high
neck, and fitted sleeves coming
to a point. Her full skirt
featured a train. The headdress
was designed with layers of
lace, and she carried a cascade
of white and blue corn flowers,
entwined with English Ivy.
Miss Barbara Beck served as
her sister's maid of honor.
Other bridesmaids were
another sister, Miss Cindy
Beck, and cousin of the groom,
Miss Liz Krueger.
The bridal attendants wore
identically fashioned floor
length gowns of blue eyelet,
and their headdresses were
adorned with blue flowers.
Each carried white carnations
and blue cornflowers.
Chris Lessing, brother of the
groom, was best man. Wayne
Frangerand Raymond Krueger
were groomsmen.
Claude Grohman, Rockne,
cousin of the bride, and Greg
Field were ushers.
Mrs. Alois Beck, the mother
of the bride, chose a pink en
semble with a white carnation
corsage for the occasion.
The groom's mother, Mrs.
Frank Lessing, wore a pink
dress and a white carnation
corsage.
The bride and groom, tht
bridal party, and parents
formed a receiving line at the
church following the ceremony.
A reception supper was held in
St. Dominic Savio Hall.
Large white bells and blue
streamers decorated the hall.
Blue candles and arrangements
of blue flowers centered the
tables. A canopy of blue
streamers adorned the hall
entrance.
Guests were registered by
Miss Mary Beck, sister of the
bride, and Miss Judy Lessing,
sister of the groom.
The three tiered bride's cake
was topped with a miniature
bride and groom, and adorned
with blue birds and blue bells.
The chocolate covered groom's
cake was trimmed in white. The
cakes were baked and dec
orated by Mrs. Matthew
Bartsch, aunt of the bride.
