The Texas Commission on Jail Standards is proposing to
amend its rules governing new and existing jail, lock-up, and
, ' low-risk design, construction, and furnishing requirements.. .

to avoid misinterpretation and by providing clarity and pre-
ciseness to the rules to reflect the intent of the commission.
Specifically, the commission proposes to clarify the dimension
requirements for single cells, separation cells, multiple-occu-
pancy cells, dormitories, and day rooms by expanding the

viding sufficient ventilation.
