A coroner's Inquest was held and Mr.
f'llaghan was exonerated of any blame
attached to the accident.
The unfortunate man was at once
removed to Withers Grain store, then
to Curd's Undertaking establishment
and thru to bis home east of tbe high
achool In Karwell. where he leavea a
wife and two children, a boy and a
girL
Mr. Norrls wus well known in Tex-
lco-Farwell. having lived here for sev-
enteen years. During Ibis time, be had
been engaged in fanning and at one
time conducted a drug store. Recently,
be bad l*een engaged at carpenter
work. He was about sixty-two years
of age uml was a man of quiet and un-
assuming manners, well liked by every
one and a member of the Methodist
church. The sad affair has* cast a
gloom over tbe entire community.
Funeral services were conducted at
the Methodist church by Rev. Thurs-
ton, the pastor, at 3:00 p. m. Thursday.
Tbe floral offerings were lieautlful and
in profusion. Interment was in Texlco
cemetery where the remains were fol-
lowed to their last resting place by
one of the lurgest funeral pnxtwslons
ever seen in Texlco.—State Line Trl-

The nature of Plaintiff's demands
being as follows, to-wlt: A suit on a
promissory note for $000.00, dated
February 11, 1818, payable oa or before
four years from date, hearing Interest
from date uatll paid at tbe rate of T
percent per annua. Internet payable
quarter-annually; aald note executed
by the Defendants and payable to tbe
order of Plaintiff; said note providing
for a reasonable attorney foe In case
suit la brought tbeqpon. Plaintiff's pe-
tition alleglag that tbe note la past dae
and no principal or interest baa been
paid thereon, except tbe Interest baa
been paid to August 11. 1810. and fur-
ther alleges that It became necessary to
employ council to assist In tbe collec-
tion of aald note, and on April 1, 1818.
employed aa attorney and agreed to
pay the attorney the sum of $100.00 for
his services, which the petition alleges
was ncr-essary and reasonsble and that
said attorney's feea, though due by rea-
son of the petition, hss not been paid.
Plaintiff also seeks by ssid petition
to foreclose a Deed of Truat Lien on
the E. 12 of the N. K. 1-4 of Section
H7, Block K-4, Certificate number 133,
containing eighty acres alleged to have
been given to aecure the payment of
said note.
