Texas Historical Foundation
Whereas, the Board of Directors of the Texas Historical Foundation in its
meeting assembled at Athens in the County of Henderson, in the State of Texas,
notes with respect and sorrow that our former President, Hal Jackson, departed this
world December 29, 2009; and
Whereas, Hal was a keen student of history, a dedicated activist in the
preservation of things past, a superb financial professional, and earned the respect of
his fellow Directors; and
Whereas, his career in banking over a long period of years was
complemented by a record of leadership in professional and community service;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved:
That, the Board of Directors of the Texas Historical Foundation expresses its
sorrow and loss upon the death of its former President Hal Jackson,
That, a copy of this Resolution be retained in the permanent records of the
Foundation, and the original be sent to Sally Copass Jackson, and
That, the Board rise in a moment of silence for its former President.
Duly adopted this 16th day of January, 2010.
