FOR TEXAS, I WILL!
Charles Goodnight's 1887 ranch home in the Texas Panhandle was the base of operations
for the iconic trailblazer. Today, preservationists are working hard to finish this restoration
so that future generations will learn the stories of Goodnight-stories of vision, determina-
tion, achievement, frontier life, and the development of the cattle industry in Texas.
The restoration of the Goodnight Home is just one of the projects the Texas Historical
Foundation has supported. All monies that the organization awards are privately raised,
mostly from Texans who understand the value of preserving the Lone Star spirit and
culture. Through a gift to THF in your will or estate plan, you can help save the places
where our history was made. Contact THF today to learn how you can stand up for Texas!
