i the temple of God with idols. The issue is too well mark-
ed to be misunderstood.
My especial appeal is to people claiming to be Christ-
ians. Is it possible that some of you are going to take
your stand in defense and support of the very hot-bed and
nursery of nine-tenths of the crime that disgraces our
land? Do you conscientiously believe you are doing the
will of God? You will not, you cannot deny that whiskey
is responsible for more blood-curdling crime and degrad-
ing sin than any other one thing on the face of the earth.

ruin. It is simply a question of right or wrong.
And now we are told that the morals on the side of
the saloon are as good as those against it. Ask that man
who is daily incurring the curse of God by putting the bot-
tle to his neighbor and giving him drink, which side is he
on. Ask the dram drinker, the reeling toper, the profane
swearer, the foul-mouthed blackguard, and the libertine
and debaucher. Then ask the bribers and corrupters of
the courts which side they are on. Talk not about morals
in the hot-bed of crime! And think you that you are do-
ing the will of God when you are standing with and help-
ing that class? Do you want your sons corrupted and
your daughters to marry drunkards? Or do you want
them to be sons and daughters of the Lord Almighty?
Then "come out from among them, be separate, and
touch not the unclean thing." With loving appeal,
L. M. Owen.
