Chayefsky's latest attempt in
the cinema world. Already ac
claimed for his TV and movie
version of "Marty" his B'way
play "Middle of the Night"
and movie "The Bachelor
Party" Paddy has not let
down his followers with "God
dess."
The writer has a talent for
taking common (this reveiwer
hates the word too) everyday
people—a butcher accountant
secretary or in ihis case a small
town girl from Maryland—and
proving that they too have drama
excitement and adventure tucked
away in their lives.
Kim Stanley Lloyd Bridges and
Steve Hill take leading parts in
the story that follows Emily Ann
(Kim) from the age of four
through a marriage divorce
another marriage (all this is be
fore she becomes a star) and
another break-up.
"Wild is the Wind" not to be
confused with the other breezy
flick "Saddle the Wind" con
cerns itself with Gino (Anthony
Quinn) wealthy Nevada sheep
rancher who a widower for many
years decides to bring his dead
wife's sister Gioia (Anna Magn
ani) to the U. S. from Italy and
marry her.
Gino still mourning the
death of his first wife Ro-
sanna mistakenly calls Gioia
"Rosanna" and gets himself
in all kinds of trouble. Ben
(Anthony Franciosa) whom
Gino has brought up as a
son finally comes to love
Gioia and then everybody
gets in trouble.
Producer Hal Willis whose
films have won 32 Oscars has
grabbed what appears to be
another hit here.
When the Academy Award win
ning team of Quinn-Magnani take
an already "sound" story and
add their talents well "you can't
hardly get them there no more."
From out of the west comes
another western this one
called "Saddle the Wind" spot
lighting Robert Taylor John Cas
savetes and Julie London. Julie
sings as well as being her usual
eye-appealing self.
This story of two brothers
their differences and likeness
es along with a few gunfights
and a tussle to keep the open
range from being hemmed
in with barbed-wire is on
screen tonight at Theatre 4.
An honest-to-goodness cops and
robbers thriller will be ushered
into Theatre 4 when "The Line
up" starts tomorrow.
An expansion of the half-hour
TV show of the same name this
stars Eli Wallach and Robert
Keith.

Ah Spring! It's here in all its
glory erasing memories of the
cold icy slippery winter months
and making the mid-summer heat
seem farther away than it really
is.
This is a tranquil time—a time
of peace. A time to relax and
think and dream about other
springs. A time to dream about
lakes and vacations and fishing
and swimming.
But the balmy breezes can bash
your dreams in an instant if you
let your mind wander while you're
driving. No season is a Reason
for dangerous day-dreaming.
Give your dreams a chance to
come true by keeping your mind
on your driving and safe driving
on your mind at all times.
