The Sports Car Club of Ft. Hood has been hold
ing events calle "autocrosses" since its founing
in 1956. One problem the club faces is the attitude
of many would-be participants a common excuse
is "Aw I can't do that you guys are all_ pros" or
"Ya know I've been meaning to get out there with
you guys but I just never can get away...
The time for making excuses is over if you
don't make it this Saturday and Sunday you re a
wrong dude! The club is holding an Autocross
School so you can come and learn to drive in com
petition. What you learn will also help you better
your driving technique on the streets and highways
as well. You will even get a dash plaque for your
efforts and on Sunday a chance at some trophies.
The school is being taught by the club's best
drivers who have rooms full of trophies to prove
their expertise. You WILL learn how to get
around corners quickly what gears to use how to
set yourself up for the "next" turn while still two
turns away from it and lots more.
Also included will be instruction on the best
types of tires their use on the street and compe
titions the advantages of sway-bars bucket seats
and seat belts. Everything starts Saturday at 9
morning on Sadowski Field between post HQ and
Darnell Army Hospital. Both military and civjlian
are welcome. Entrance charge is only five dollars
and that includes both days the school on Saturday
and the actual autocross on Sunday. How can you
miss?? You can't. Be there.

BED WETTING
BED-WETTING IN A SERVICE FAMILY? HERE'S REAL HELP!
For the past several years OCHAMPUS*
has.been approving for payment the use
of devices and programs to end bed-
wetting. Pacific International has been
exclusively engaged in helping bed-
wetters for over two decades and is
an approved provider of this type of
service where care is authorized.
Few parents realize the great mental burden bedwetting
loads upon a sensitive child and practically all bedwetters
are extremely sensitive. The daily impact of potentially
damaging psychological reactions upon such an individual
can result in adverse personality traits throughout a lifetime.

opening on Ft. Hood Nov. 18.
Several large herds of deer
have been spotted on the
reservation and it looks like
the hunting will be the best in
several years.
After two weeks of
inclement weather the drags
were back in operation
Saturday night. The guys must
have spent all their time
working on the cars because
the 16 modifieds that showed
up at the track were really

1 in e. ecially Barry
Benershaucen's I-Gas
Volkswagen. Barry captured
first place in the modified
class with the bright orange
"Scarab" VW.
It was Mike Brumbelow in
his '60 Chevy taking the top
spot in Super Stock eliminator
while Mike Douglas in an Olds
4-4-2 took stock eliminator.
In mini-stock a Pinto
driven by Jeffry Wise was the
fastest on the track and
Suzuki again took the cycyle
class with Robert Holder
riding the 500cc machine of
Suzuki Cycle Center.
°n
ET Eliminator was taken
by Dennis Oswald in His
Charger RT closely followed
by Thomas Stanton's Chev-
powered Austin Healey. The
Healey was running strong all
an a re is
shutting down the Charger on
the final elimination run. A
missed gear early in the run
let the Charger out strong and
the Austin just couldn't get it
back.
