The Way
In-this new book published by New Leaf Press, "The Next
Step with Jesus", is the procedure to becoming a Charismatic
Christian,as taught by Dr. Hong Sit.
Dr. Sit, pastor of Grace Chapel, has spent a great deal of
time in preparation, for his intention is, that it serve as
a sound basis for the Bible, for it is written for Christ-
ians who have gotten into a rut and want to get out. He
believes Christians should enjoy being Christians, and "The
Next Step with Jesus" provides the answer.
The forward is written by Harold Eredeson. Illustrations
by Stanley Kennedy enhance its readability.
Sunday, October 2nd marks the 21st Anniversary of Grace
Chapel. Here to celebrate the occasion during the A.M.
Sunday Service will be Mel Tari, Evangelist from Indonesia
and author of "Like a Mighty Wind", also Bill Lee of San
Francisco, whom God has gifted with a healing power, will
share the program.
At 5 P.M. a covered dish dinner will be served, and Chris
Fanos, author of God's Spy will speak at the ? P.M. Service,
The Youth Choir and Bill Lee will again appear. Chinese-
American Bill Lee comes to Houston from the Truth Gospel in
Oakland and the Community Church in San Francisco.
There are now two Sunday morning services. The Chinese
language service begins at 9:^5 A.M. during the English
Sunday School classes which is attended by all children.
The English language service begins at 11 A.M. during the
Chinese Sunday School class (mostly adult Chinese).
Grace Chapel's Choir is scheduled to appear on Channel 11
on the program "Set the Echoes Ringing" at 7:30 A.M. Look
for them during the last two Sundays in October.
Dr. Hong and Amy Sit are excited about their new building
program, for on the agenda is a new sanctuary, whereby the
present facility will become fellowship hall. Amy Sit
enthusiastically related that the Lord has already gifted
her with a new kitchen.
Of interest to friends of their daughter Mary is the fact
that since graduation from the University of Houston
Magna Cum Laude in the Spring, Mary is now associated with
the ?00 Club and the Christian TV Broadcasting Station in
Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mary writes and sets up inter-
views for guests. She is also one of the counselors seen
on TV answering the multitude of telephone calls from
across the nation.
On the 16th and 23rd of October, the Sits are looking
forward, and invite the public to Grace Chapel to see and
hear Florence Shao, noted Bible teach from Hong Kong.

Miss Chinatown Pageant
The Chinese American Citizens Alliance Houston
Lodge is planning to hold its Miss Chinatown Beauty
Pageant in conjunction with its 23rd Annual CACA An-
niversary celebration scheduled for the end of Nov-
ember or beginning of December. Mr. Gordon Quan has
been appointed Chairman of the beauty pageant.
The CACA would like to encourage all single girls
of Chinese descent ages 18 to 25, to consider parti-
cipating in this year's pageant. For more information

Gordon Quan at 682-7141.
