"CHRISTMAS STAR" AT THE BURKE BAKER
PLANETARIUM
Whatever our personal beliefs may be. it cannot
be argued that the story of the birth of Jesus has
profoundly changed the world. The distance of
2000 years that separates the present from the
mystery of the Star of Bethlehem is crossed every
Christmas season at the Burke Baker Planeta-
rium when the skies over Bethlehem are
recreated, November 23 through December 30.
For the 21st consecutive year, the annual holiday
presentation, "Christmas Star" fascinates all as it
explores the phenomenon of the Star of Bethle-
hem. The questions it poses will, perhaps, never
be fully answered, but we continue to investigate
and wonder. Was the Star really a miracle or was
it a unique natural event?
"Christmas Star" will be presented November
25 through December 30. Admission is free to
members; $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children
under 12. Show times are Wednesday and Friday
at 4:00 PM; Saturday and Sunday at 2, 3 and 4 PM:
and Friday evenings at 8:00 PM. Call the Planeta-
rium at 526-4273 for times of additional special
showings during the holiday season. There is no
admittance once the show has begun
