The Helen Hall Library began as an organized effort by citizens of League City in 1971. It was renamed in 1985 in honor of Helen Hall, one of these charter members. Today, it is one of the busiest and largest libraries in the Galveston County Library System, and is also a member of the Houston Area Library System. Its mission is "to provide comprehensive information resources and services linking the League City community to the world of ideas."
