The Lone Star
Champion International Corporation is today
one of the world's largest paper companies.
And we're one of the biggest companies in
Texas, to boot.
Champion now manages 1.1 million acres of
timberlands in Texas. Those trees support two
major paper mills, two plywood plants, a
paperboard milk and juice carton plant, and three
paper distribution warehouses. Together, these
operations employ more than 3,000 Texans -
more Champions than in any other state.
Our mills in Lufkin and Sheldon make newsprint
for your daily paper as well as directory paper
used in telephone books. Our other plants and
offices are spread across the state in Arlington,
Camden, Corrigan, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston,
Huntsville, and San Antonio.
Champion has been a Texas company for half a
century; and we're proud to have grown with the
Lone Star State. Champion's long tradition of
excellence - effectively managing our natural
resources and hiring the best people to make
high-quality products efficiently - fits right in
with the Texas way of doing things.
We're proud to be Champions. And we're proud
to be Texans.
