last fall soon after the re-election or Urant
at a cabinet meeting. All the members
being present they Informed him that
wishing to do nothing t embarrass
him in his administration i they would
tender their resirnatlons. to take effect on
the fourth dav of Maroh. ensuing. The
President expressed thanks for their
friendly reclines and Informed them that
he had no desire for any one of them to
witoaraw from tneir present poeiuons
but preferred all should remain as
nothinc sinoehad occurred to change posi
tion of affairs as it existed at that time.
The only-change will be in Seo'y of the
Treasury should the present incumbent be
elected lo the Senate of the V. 8. That the
President had not re-nomiealed the pres
sat members of the Cabinet for confirma
tion is strengthened by the not tbat all
were at tbeir respective Departments to-
day attending lo official duties and it ia
aaid by those iu Executive positions that
no such re-aomiuations will be made. -
