.o One Saw Shot.
A remarkable fart about tho acci-
dent voMorday in that none of tho
party In the automobile when Stone
nan shot knows which Run it was
that was discharged. Stone was In-
htrumenlal In organizing the- party
yesterday morning to go on the hunt
and six were In tho machine which
left the hotel about sunrise. It was
after they had finished hunting and
w ere ret in ning that tho accident
happened.
Three of the party were In the
rear scat of the automobile two were
In the front and Stonc was standing
on the running board. Three of the
guns. Including Stone's wcrn loan
ing over against tho front seat and
the men in the rear seat had their
gunH in their hand. All the nuns
so the men thought had been un-
loaded but in crossing a culvert on
1ho road back th0 machine iboiineod
violently and tho men ihcard a sharp
report from ono of tho guns leading
against tho front seat.
Did Not Notice Wound.

mechanism of the gun and fired the

families were blessed according to
the records by the arrival of tiaby
daughters.
The death record for the month
shows four fatalities. One of those

ers into th0 ranhandle Miss Mildred
Louis Jtunyan a pretty Minnesota
girl arrived after a IonK trip from
Ccnterville. Waiting for her was
William Oweu Hathaway a good
looking youug fellow from St. Vraln
N. M. and tho couple lost no time
in securing a license from tho coun-
ty clerk authorizing the marriage
which they had planned. The 'bride
although younger than tho man was
over eighteen and thcrefor0 did not
require an order authorizing the is-
suanee of tho license. But the man
being still under twenty-one had to
present an order from his father to
secure the license.
Mr. Hathaway is lu business with
hls father at tfie new town of St.
Vraln on thp Belon cut-off and the
new Mr. and Mrs. Hathaway will re-
turn there to make their home In
New Mexico.
