Study of major American writers from Emerson to Dickinson, including Poe, Thoreau,
Hawthorne, Melville, and Whitman.

A study the realism movement in American Literature between the Civil War and World War

ENGL 5327 Studies in Southern Literature
Focus on significant texts by Southern authors from the 19'1, 201', and 21", centuries. Issues
