"What are you looking for dear," asked the
disembodied voice.
Dani sighed. "I'm looking for whoever is
talking to me."
"I'm right here in front of you, can't you
see me?"
"Who, who are you?"
"I'm Mrs. Webber, dear."
"Um, my name is Dani."
Dani was confused. Never in her life had
anything like this ever happened to her. She had
always been a logical reasonable person, ghosts
were not logical, and it was not reasonable to
expect a corpse to speak. Though she knew she
must have been losing her mind, Dani decided
to continue along with this bizarre conversation.
Maybe if she could just get this nonsense out of
her system she would be able to get back in the
car and continue with her job.
Checking quickly to be sure that Jacob was
still asleep, Dani returned to her conversation
with the late Mrs. Webber.
"How are you able to talk to me, Mrs.
Webber? Why are you still here? Shouldn't you
be in Heaven right now or something like that?"
