Golf Coach Bob Comett said that they were all playing very well, are
good competitors, and that he is enjoying their company because they are

Head Coach Kenny Medina said, "1 couldn't have asked for a better-
year for Micha. He had a really great year. He also made the second team
All Conference. He beat a goalkeeper that was very good. 1 am very happy
with him." ' 1
Toward the latter part of the season, junior forward Chris Steele was
also named Conference Player of the Week.
"At this point 1 am very happy with Chris' progress. It was a big strug-

recorded wrong. I know to get Conference Player of the Week was excit-
ing for him," Medina said.
Wesleyan sports information director Greg Bpgomol said in order to
get Conference Player of the Week, ever)' school's sports information direc-

it to the conference sports information director. Bogomol said the
Conference Sports Information Director looks at the statistics of each play-
er nominated and then decides whom to name as Player of the Week.
Wesleyan also had five players make the All Conference Teams.
Mfedina said each coach of the conference picks eight "to nine players on
their team to make All Conference. Then all the coaches vote on all the
school's nominees, but can only vote for two players that are on their team.
Players named for the first team all conference are freshman defender
Byron Cox and freshman midfielder Andre Van Don Broeck. Van Don
Broeck also was named Conference Newcomer of the year.
Buchholz, freshman fullback Drew Doman and freshman forward
