To tho People of the Great Amarillo Country -. : .
J V Amarillo Tex. '
Good Morning Frieads : t
. I have dispoqid.of " The West e.rn Livery and Sales Co" where you have known me for nearly two
years. I thank yu for your liberal patronage while in that business and ask that you con-
tinue to favor thase stables with your business; ' ' ';
. On Wed. May 231910 I turn over a new leaf in Amarillo. I have quit "swoppin horses" and
cn that date wil open nice offices on 4th. St.. on the ground floor of First National Bank build-
ing." I do NOT asjire to do the largest business in. tho Panhandle but prefer only such business
cs I can handle p the SATISFACTION of my clients and myself. Below you will find a list of the
propositions I an' handle. My specialty shall be OUICK sales and trades. I will have ample
and competent sUesmen and when yoi list a proposition with us we will get you quick action if
your propositioi 'and price is RIGHT. Many agents will list your property at any price you
desire to name 'often at twice its real value) They will promise you a speedy sale but the
stuff don't setf then you geUscre at the agent. Whose fault is it? Maybe you both made a
mistake. . ' . . . . ' . ' 4
There willjpe no sore spots cn.my customers because if you want the "REAL CASH" you
rust put n realjjash price cn it then I'll get .busy and the cash will. soon be on your inside
pocket' and thecommission in mine. Then.we'll both be happy. Now if you will exchange for
o;her property he price need not be so low but even in a trade 'tis not best to set your price
too high. A deqi on a Cash basis is more easily quickly and fairly made. There is another class
of business . I &all not handle namely: No patent rignts no mining stocks no crude oil-
burner contracjb no snide schemes no bad tit les andno blue sky.
Now remember I do not clas3 all patent right mining stocks or oil burner contracts as
fakes. They arj not but I Just don't understand them or handle them in any way that's all.
While I can notpersonally investigate every proposition listed with me no business that is
not on tho square will go through my office if -I can prevent it. I want' to do business with .
MEN who are'MEHand not babies. If you don't want to sell or don't want to buy or don't want to
trade please bnft talk business to'me. Tell me what you want to do and then do it 'when I
bring the opportunity. When I say I'll do a thing I'll do it if it takes the hair off and I
want you to do pe same . -
Now you'llfind me at my place of business ready to talk business every day in the year ex-
cept Sundays. am no saint but I work six days to. beat the band and rest on the seventh.
-Appointments cjn be made for business meeting almost any evening after supper if most con-
venient to vou f" .' ' v - ' .
One thingf nearly forgot. 'A man don't need o go in business in the Amarillo country for
his health. Ifo pretty skinny but very health y thank you. I am in business for the coin. Oon't
expect me to pu thro sorae'deal that you can't andnd not' pay me. My commission is 5 per cent
on most deals Unless specially otherwise agreed.) I have several systems of listing and
handling property which will explain if you fill call.
Wishing evirybody success and me along with you I am
Yours for quick square deals
