An intelligent gentleman of a for-

the State." A groat many are of this
opinion. But lot no one bo docoivod.
Prohibition will swoop tho State on-

hardly be hoped for. It will roquiro
hard work and a good doal of it to

Ever sinco I catuo out of tho war
up to two yours ago I bad catarrh
At times tbo'disouHo was very effun

tnodicino that I saw advortisod i but
I got no permanent relief until two
yours ago when 1 bogaa taking S. S.
S. I felt immediate bonolit from the
modieino and after taking six bottles
I felt hko a new umn. hon I began
using tho modieino I was in a very
bait condition! ny digestion was
poor I had rheumatic pains in my
knoes and my loot were always cold
Those unpleasant conditions woro
remedied at once by Swift's Spocifio.
I ceased using tho modieino after
the six bottlos becausol folt so well
that I thought I was entirely cured
This past full however I had a re
lapse evidently I had stopped tak
ing S. S. S. too soon. So I at once
began with tho medicine and am
happy to toll you that I am very much
improved my general health being
excellent and the catarru rapidly dis
appearing.
I have great laitn in a. . . tor

In retnrnlnft thanks to you for my rilrncolons cure
ot ecn'iim or salt rheum I deem It advisiible to give
you a detailed account of my ca. and as there is.
and eiways will be a prejudice ag.iinut advertised
remedies you buvo my consent to publish tjis tes-
timonial end all inquiries by letter or in person 1
will cheerfully uuswer. 1 do this that people who
go on year alter year paying out large sums of mon-
ey to lncompotent physicians and receive no oure
or even relief or end in filling a premature grave
as was nearly my case ratiy heindnced to make trial
of the wonderful Cctioura Uimkiims.
Al tho ago or three months a rash made I's ap-
pearance on my face. A physician was called be
said teething was the cause he prescribed some
cooling medicine but the sores spread to my ears
and heed. - Another M . D. was called. He profess-
ed to know all about the case called it "King's
Evil." and prescribed gunpowder brimstone and
lardmlxed Into a snlve. but tho disease continued.
They could not do anything with It. Anothor pre-
sciibed borax water and fionr; anuiher. Unseed
peultlces. None of them did me any good at all
but made me worse. Tbo disease coutinued nnabat-
eu; it spread lo my arms and legs till 1 was laid up
eutltely and trom continual sittiug on tbe floor on
a pillow my limba coutructed so that I lost all con-
trol of them and was utterly helpless. My mother
would have to lift me out and Into bed. I could get
around the house on my hands and foet but I could
net gel my clothes on at all. and had to wesr a aort
of dressing gown. My hair had all matted dowu or
fallen off and my head face and ears were one
scab aud I had lo have a towel on my head all the
time In tbe summer to keep the Hies off. My parents
coutulted a prominent physician and surgeon here in
Chicsgo (the other physicians before mentioned
wero of Duudns and Uamillen Canada) he said he
could do nothing for me that the chancos were that
I would grow out of it or tbat it would strike tn-
.wurdiy and kill me In time. He wanted to cut the
sinews of my legs so tbat I could walk but I would
not let him for If 1 did gel better I would hav uj
control or them.
Tbe disease continued In this manner until I was
seventeen years old and one day fn January 1879
in the Chicago Tribune I read an account of your
medicines. They described my case so exactly tbat
I thought as a last resort to give them a trial.
When t first applied the Cuticura 1 wss all raw
and bleeding from scratching myself but when I
applkd it I went asleep almost immedistely. some-
thing 1 bad not done for years the effect was so
sooihlng.

NIAUAKA fiUPPLY OO. Drwr IW. Buffalo N.T
The first morning after using It my flesh (I had DO
kiu only on the end uf my nose) was a pink color.
Next day It was kind of white and I could place my
bauds on tbe soros without tt being psinlul. Ia
about two weeks I could stand straight but not
walk 1 was so weak but my sores were noarly well.
Then 1 commenced the uso of Ihe Coticora Hkolv-
eht and in three days I was wirse than ever. I
was one mnss of pimples from the top of my head to
tho Boles of my feet to say tbey were painful would
not do Justice to the case. In from two to four days
they burst and loft a small scale which dropped
off and left the spot pure and the skin white and
as near as I can Judge I was oured in about six to
eight weeks and up to this date ( f. . from January
1879. to Jauuary 18N7) I have not been sick in any
way ot have bad the least signs of the disease re-
appearing on me. f have an excellent appetite
have the very best of health. My limbs are straight
supple and strong I have been exposed to all sorts
or weather without the lesBt signs or the disease yet.
The ouly difference I flud in myselt la that my skin
is Snor eolter and not to liable to get chappod as
is other persons.
No doubt many persons will not believe this al-
most improbable story many will thick It grossly
exaggerated. I don't blame them a bit If they do
but to satisfy themselves tbey can oall or write to
me and find out if what I have written above la-true
or not. There are many persons who can testifly to
the wonderful cure 1 have reoeived by your Coticora
Kshiuirs.
Gentlemen let me again thank yon for my cere.
