Itwas all over but the yelling, the Juniors had won. Score 47 to 7.

Many heroes fail and fall!
Oh! those Sophomores couldn't hold those fresh Carter boys. The game was as hard
fought as the game with North Side Fort Worth. Only a small crowd saw Pap Carter
make the only touchdown. The lire-up was:

At four fifteen the Freshmen received a kickoff from the Soph, which L. Carter
took. They made four yards, but are frrccd to punt on the fourth down; they recover
the ball but fumble on the first down. The Sophs also lost the ball on their first down,
the Fish make nine and a half yards and give the ball over. They exchange punts and
the Fish try a pass that fails; the game proceeds this way for the first quarter.
At the beginning of the second half the game is delayed for five seconds on account
of the Sophs laziness. A series of line bucks with a few tr'al passes went on for the
next five downs. On the Sophs' first down Saxon made a gallant run for ten yards
and the Fish take the ball up the field. A series of plunges by the old Carter boys and
on the last down with two yards to go, Pap, the gallant ground gainer, takes the ball
through the line for seven yards. Caldwell gees through lne in two downs for a total
of seven yards but on the third down the ball is lost. On the Sophs' first down Pap
hits Dickerson so hard that the game is delayed for two minutes, Saxon makes a super-
natural run for a total of fifteen yards. An exchange of punts and a trial at a pass
to "Bloody Red" and a pass from Saxon to Seamester for a total of fifteen yards and
the first half is up.
Burk is sent out and J. Ledbetter goes in, and he punts on the fourth down through
the line and then Pap carried "Sup" for fifteen yards making the first down, and on
the third down he makes twelve yards through the line for another first down, the Fish
make their first down again ard Pap Carter passes to H. Webb for twenty yards, then
Pap Carter takes the ball over for the frct touchdown. H. Ledbetter kicks a good goal.
Sophs rcc-ive the kickoff but they are forced to punt on their fourth down. On the
second down Pap Carter makes a daring bold run for forty yards and the two other
Carter boys c,.rry the ball unt 1 they get tired, then lose it on a fumble. The Sophs
are playing for a touchdown so they complete two passes via Saxon to Seamester for
twenty-five yards; on the third attempt H. Ledbetter intercepts the pass and runs twenty
yards through a broken field. The game only lasts through the first down as time is
called and the game is over.
JUNIORS WIN CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP BY DEFEATING THE FISH
The Juniors Walked Over the Fish 47 to 7.
In an easy game, played before a very small crowd, the Juniors defeated the Fish
47 to 7. The Juniors made th? first touchdown in the first minute of play when Griffin
shot a long pass to Cash, who ran 70 yards for a touchdown. Brewster kicked goal.
Cash also made several other good runs duri-g the game.
The game started with the Juniors receiving. Griffin threw a pass to Cash who ran
70 yards for a touchdown. Brewster kicked goal. Juniors kicked off and the Fish fail
to make first down. Juniors march up feld and miss a field goal. Fish fumble ball
and Juniors recover at 12-yard line. Coon makes a touchdown and Brewster kicks goal.

In the next quarter the Juniors completed four straight passes and Griffin caught
a very hard pass for a touchdown. Brewster misses goal. Juniors kick off and Fish
start down the field. Juniors get the ball, but fumble and Fish recover on ten-yard
line. They are held for downs and Juniors kick out of bounds. Fish ball on the one-
yard line. P. Carter plunges line for a touchdown. Ledbetter kicks goal. After kickoff
and an exchange of punts the half is up. Score, Juniors 19, Fish 7.
The Juniors fail to score in the third quarter but in the fourth quarter Wristen
made a touchdown and Brewster kicked goal. Brewster made a touchdown and Cash
kicked goal. Cash made a touchdown and Brewster kicked goal and in the final minute
of play Saxon dropped the ball and Cornelius recovered and ran 40 yards for a touch-
