HISTORY OF THE JUNIORS
Come all ye people, if you want to hear:
About the peppiest class, in many a year.
This story carries us back three years ago when the Juniors of
'23 sat in the Fish Room just starting upon their High School career.
They were indeed "green" but not "fresh." With eyes round,
mouths open, and hopes high they entered the new school and racked
their stupified brains' for words to express their surprise and admira-
tion. However, they did not remain this way long. Of course they
had to undergo all the trials that are inflicted upon a "Fish" but this
only served to make them stronger. They did their work with zeal
and zest for with in was that determination to "Win or die."
The Sophomore year found them wonderful students both in
studies and athletics. They had caught the real school spirit and had
started off with a BOOM and ended in the sprint. They were on their
second year and were looking at the distant goal with eyes of antici-
pation and hope.
They started the Junior year with a smile in their hearts and
on their lips. These words rang in every heart: "When duty whispers
low THOU MUST, the youth replies, I CAN," This unusual spirit
caused the seniors to gasp in astonishment; the Sophomores to look on
longingly and completely stunned the Freshmen. Did this spirit last?
We can readily see that it did.
The numbers have so increased that it requires more than one
room to accommodate them but this is just one more obstacle that will
soon remove itself, for the coming generations will be in a new school.
This wonderful year ends with the Juniors looking forward to a
glorious and prosperous year so--Drink with us, our friends, to the
health of the JUNIORS of '23.
Here’s what’s next.
