The Sub Deb Club, a national organization to promote
better standards and attitudes in the school and corn
munity, began the 1952-'53 school year with only sixteen
members; but the addition of twenty new members early
in the year increased the Sub Deb membership to thirty-
six. A Christmas party and candlelight initiation, the an-
nual prom, and service projects, including assisting in the
local "March of Dimes" and assisting the American Red
Cross in soliciting blood donors, were the major functions
of the Sub Deb Club this year.
