^hrist^as is the time of gifts and giving but
just giving isn't enough in itself. "Not what
we give but what we share" is what counts most.
What makes Scout service such true service is the
way in which it is rendered. The Scout "shares"
as he goes, gives himself along with his Good Turn
his warm, out-reaching friendliness, his gladly
spared holiday hours his ungrudging effort, his
cheery Scout smile. These gifts are no less real for
being intangible, and happily they do not stop with
the Christmas season. They reach over into the
New Year to come.
