Notes

User Feedback: "I thought I might add some data regarding the people mentioned on the back of the photo as well as "Sarah Allen, third postmaster". First, the Pearl STULTS, and Mrs. Jake K STULTS, are the same person. Born Margaret Anna Pearl BYRD, (1900-1990) she married in 1917 Jacob "Jake" Keller STULTS. (1895-1965) Pearl was a local historian, an in 1950 wrote a history column for the Richardson (TX) Echo newspaper. She also was the chairman of the local March of Dimes in the area. As to Sarah Allen, she was born Sarah T JACKSON in 1858 in Owen Co. Indiana. In 1884 She married Henry Clay HOWSER (30 Apr 1860 - 24 Apr 1890) Henry Clay HOWSERS was appointed Postmaster of Richardson, TX on 17 Mar 1890 but died 5 weeks later. His wife Sarah T (Jackson) HOWSER was appointed postmaster on 09 May 1890, and served until 19 Sep 1892. She married Thomas E Allen 03 Oct 1892. After Tom ALLEN died circa 1901, Sarah T (Jackson) [Howser] ALLEN was again appointed Postsmaster and her second term ran from 26 July 1902, until 02 Nov 1911. I could not identify the other three people in the photo. I'm not sure if Sarah ALLEN died, married again, or just moved on after 1911."
