On the 35th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America . . . Boy Scout Week
. . . February 8th-14th . . . Scouts in Uniform Should Look Smart and Trim.
In a few weeks . .. throughout the land . . . the Boy Scouts of America will
join in Boy Scout Week festivities . . . February 8th to 14th. "Scouts of the
World-Brothers Together" is the theme for the 35th Anniversary Year and
Scouts of this country will greet Scouts throughout the world, and emphasize
the oneness of the Boy Scout Movement.
During this period of Scout celebration, good appearance is especially im-
portant. Scouts will be continually in the public eye. Their Uniform is uni-
versally recognized as the symbol of a Movement whose purpose is character
building and citizenship training through a leisure-time program for boys.
Particularly at this time it is hoped that Scout Leaders will stress and en-
courage pride in the Uniform . . . care of the Uniform . . . how to wear the
Uniform so the boy will look smart and trim . . . Neckerchief in place . . .
Hat or Cap at the proper angle . . . Shoes neat and shiny.
