Missionary medical schools nro found
In almost every province. In only n
fow places were udoQiiate hospitals

work under great difficulties. The
need for medical work in China Is
great and tho opportunities for pi og
ress in all lines arc equally great.
Though there la opposition In some
quarters to vestorn medical methods.
this is rapidly breaking down and too
objects of the commission wero ap-
proved by officials and prominent cit-
izens. The commission recommends
that the foundation undertako medi-

tions: that a high standard bo main
tained for medical Instruction which
should be in the English language;
that tho tlmo Is not ripe for large pub-bating society
