A FINAL WORD TO THE VOTERS
We have a large majority of the votes today but the
result will depend upon careful marking of the ballot.
This question is bigger than the political destinies of
either of the candidatesit deals with a blood-purchased
principle. This campaign cf the Potter County Pure Bal-
lot l.e.tgue has not been v aed by T. W. McBride: Me
happens to be an incident to the workings of the organi-
zation. '! rat a dangerous precedent has been suggested in
the attempt to conceal fraud behind the assumption that
the ballots were secure from inspection is patent on the
face of the facts! Give this trickery a final rebuke and
thus serve the whole people he they "best" or "worst"
citizens.
Voters of every class have responded to the call to
the colors of the Potter County Pure Ballot League. They
have investigated into the facts and then joined hands
with the organization in a determination to weed out
dominant and dictatorial influeiices thwartin? the wii'
of the voters.
This is an opportunity to re;;isiir for a t k'nn ballot
a square deal and a true conit. Voters do your duty and
say by your actions we are thrcuph with crookedness in
connection with elections iiji Potter county.
This league is net formed for the purpose of foster-
ing any one nun's political ambition. Likewise il is not
formed for the purpose of defeating any one man. The
purpose of th organization is born of a sense of rir;ht
and wronj; we rppeal I;! tec voters to so consider this
question Ly your vote yor. will either stand for the ri?ht
or indorse the fraudulent counting of votes cast in Pot-
ter county.
This leagfic has endeavored to present its claims in
a manner that would be just and fair to all concerned
it has sounded the issue and advanced the reasons why
thai principle should be indorsed. It stands for a fair aod
win count of the vetts cast in any political contest
held in Potter couitty.
The premises considered we. appsal to you as think-
ng vtcn American citizens exerrbing your inalienable
right to suffrage to do your full dity at the polls today.
MARK YOUR BALLOT RIGHT.
No matter how much you THINK you know about
irarking your ballots DON'T go to the polls without
studying the sample ballot issued by this league. It is
RIGHT any other way is V RONG. Read the inductions
under the sample of the ballot and follow them to the
letter. Show every man who wants to vote for T. W. Mc-
Bride how it MUST be done.
Our work is well done we have the votes and a
big majority but you MUST MARK THEM RIGHT to
get them counted for T W. McBride. There's just one
time to vote today between 8 a m. and 7 p.m.. There's
just one way to mark your ballot-EXACTLY like the
sample issued. This is our last appeal MARK YOUR
BALLOT RIGHT.
