College Friday evening given com-
plimentary to (In- football team was
successfully carried out notwith-
standing the downpour ot rain. The
crowd was largi considering the
weather and iutte large enough f-r
everybody to have it good time.
There were probably twenty-live
vikitlng ladies on IIik campus and a
number who are visiting in this city
lu addition to Hryau and College
ladles. The grand march was led
by Mr. R. L. Rurney of the corps ot
cadets and Miss May Hess Orr of
Austin.
One of the most unique aud clever-
ly devised entertainments given by
the Bachelor (iirls this season oc-
curred Wednesday afternoon with
Miss Lucy Hoard as hostess. The
pretty parlors and (lining room were
tastefully decorated with Mowers
and bright with the gleam of tiny
caudles. Resides the club members
a number of invited guests were
present aud a football game of "il"
was played the visitors representing
'Varsity and the club members the
A. and M. College. The scorn cards
were hand-paluted footballs and
each player represented a member
of her respective team. The game
was called at 3 o'clock and the In-
terest was great. With the final
score Miss Alma Cole won the club
prize a handsome A. and M. pen-
nant which was presented by Miss

to Establish Five Routes la Brazos
County Feb. I 1906.
Following upon the report of
Mr. II. U. Lat-h fent here Home
time ago to investigate the desir-
ability of establishing free rural
mail delivery in Rrao County
Mr. J. Allen Myers poastruaiter
of Bryan was mi yesterday otli-i-iully
instructed to establish live
free rural route out of Bryan on
Thursday Feb. 1 l'.KXi giving
a daily mail service anil will act
accordingly.
Five carrier- will be employed
and nill leave Bryan every morn-
ing about 10 o'clock distribute and
colled the mail along their fever
al routes- and return to Bryan in
the afternoon giving u large pro
portion of the country people ol
the county all the advantage of
daily mail service enjoyed by the
people in towii. The only ex
pense and trouble they will have
will be to purchase one of the re
gulation mail boxes to be put up at
an accessible place.
All route- begin at the Bryan
poHtolIke. Koutes No.l and No
4 pay carrier's salary of 7'20 per
year. Koutes No. 3 and No. 5 pay
702 per year and Route No. 2
