to reports received dally by the treas-
ury department money Is literally pour

and ao far this month with the re
sult that there are now a little over
$2000000 in cash on deposit in the
thirty-one depositories.
I'nder the Htate depository law the
depositories are renulred to report
dally the amount deposited by tax col
lectors and the collections have been
unusually heavy. The main reason
however for this great amount of cash
being dally deKisitcd in the deposito-
ries Is on account of the new law
which abolished the coupon system of
paying teachers. I'nder the old law

M. College and later took a business
'course in Hill's Business College at
I Waco. He followed telegraphing for
1 aome yeara and several yeara ago
j went to New Orleans where he en-
tered the service of the Illinois Cen
tral railroad In t?:c general offices of
that road In the Crescent City. He
made his home In New Orleans until
I Just before the holidays w hen he
'came home to recuperate his falling
i health. He was a member of the O.
! II. T. No. 93 and of Robt E. I.e lodge
I Knights of Fythlas. No. 9!. both locat-
led In New Orleans.
He was an exemplary young man In
every sense of the word the soul of
honor and loved and respected by all
who knew him. As a son he was duti-
ful and true; as a brother affectionate
and tender. Greater rralse than this
can no man have.
He Is survived by his mother Mrs.
Fannie T. Garth and two sister.
Misses Jessie and Cora Garth. In their
sore affliction they have the profound
sympathy of all.
He will be laid to rest tomorrow af
t moon at 2 o'clock the funeral to be
conducted from the home of his moth-
er.

will receive $25000.
