To j Poor to Ship.
It is not often that cattle ship-
ments are refused by railroads
on account of the condition of
the animals but according to
the Range News the. freight
department of the Southern
Pacific has issued unorder that
cattle from Arizona destined to
points in Texas on the Texas &
Pacific road cannot be 'accepted
for through shipments.
Because the T. &P. refuses to
take the cattle owing to their
poor condition.
The order recommend? that
shippers prepay to El Paso lo-
cally and that the shippirs
there make their arrangements
with the officers of the T. & P.
for further shipments.
This order practically sus-
pends shipments by this route
from Arizona.
The recant rains have done
jxuch good and it is said that
cattle are rapidly recovering
with plenty of green grass and
a good out-look for winter feed.
