Mr. Dabney of the pumping station
found the man and reported It to the
city authorities wlio sent an ambu-
lance down for him. Mr. Dabney savs
in the morning about 11 or 1:30 he
saw Mr. Foraker and talked to him
and invited him to go to dinner with
him but Mr. Foraker said ho would
have to go back to town and about
the hour indicated Mr. Dabsey had oc-
casion to go to the bridge again and
discovered him lying at the place des-
ignated. Mr. Foraker was carried to his
boarding place at Mrs Chloo Puett's
102 Svcamore street where Dr. Har-
nett was called to see him and this
morning reported him as resting very
well but still unable to talk but little.
Mr. Foraker indicates by signs and a
tew scattered words that his hat was
about to blow otr when he grabbed at
