All my pride
Until you are satisfied.
Cut me
To the quick,
Heart and soul,
Until I am sick,
Cold and alone
Because the world
Is scared
And even I am scared
Of loving me.
Lies travel
And spread like wildfire,
But the truth
Lives in you-
Someday,
When I am dead,
Defeated and gone,
You will weep
For the wrongs
You've committed against me.
You will weep,
But it will be far too late.
You know now
But refuse to admit
That I am pure
Clean and innocent,
Never black or evil,
Never for sale,
Never tainted,
Only painted unjustly
In a fit of jealousy.
