The Church of Christ in
Wylie was the scene for
the wedding of Miss Cyn-
thia Ellenburg and Wylie
Dykes on Friday, June 23
at 7:30 p.m.
Vows were pledged by the
:ouple before a back-
ground of candleabra
loldlng white tapers and
jreenery with arrange-
ments of pastel colored
flowers. Willis Dukes,
Minister of the Church
of Christ and father of.
the groom, performed the
double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. E.D.
Ellenburg, Jr., of 504
Morth Main, Winnsboro,
Texas, formerly of Wylie,
and the groom Is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Willis
Dykes of 309South Fourth,
Wylie.
Vocal music was presen-
ted by John Blackstone,
Paul Otts and Ronnie Box.
They sang "One Love"
and "If f Should Ever
Leave You."
Escourted to the altar and
given In marriage by her
Father, the bride wore a
formal length gown fa-
shioned of satin and peau
d' Agle lace in diamond
white. The gown was de-
signed witn an empire
waist. The bodice wasac-
cneted with peau d' Agle
lace continuing down the
puffed sleeve forming a
cuff of lace. The slim
skirt form the empire
waist to sweel to the back
into a wide chapel length
train also accented in the
peau d* Agle lace.
The veil of silk illusion
fell In multiple tiers from
a headpiece of peau d'
Agle lace and tiny seed
pearls. The bride's bou-
quet was of white rose-
buds centered with a white
orchid.
As the bride approached
the altar, she presented
her mother with a long-
stemmed pink rose as a
syntool of love, and . ut
the close of the ceremony
as the couple left the al-
tar, they presented his
mother with a long
stemmed pink rose as a
token of love.
Miss Rita Ellenburg, sis-
ter of the bride, was maid
of honor. Bridesmaids
were Misses Phyllis
SchulU and Janet Bos-
tic. Junior bridesmaids
were Tami and Dee Ann
Dykes, sisters of the
groom. The bridal atten-
dants wore empire A-llne
f;owns in combination co-
ors of pink and navy.
Pink chiffon formed the
empire bodice with sheer
sleeves coming to a navy
chiffon wrist cuff overlaid
in pink Venlse lace. Sculp-
tured lace of navy silk
formed the Duchess neck-
line. A front bodice panel
band in soft chiffon ruf-
fles centered with navy
buttons extended from the
collar to the empire line
which was encircled with
pink Venise lace. The
navy chiffon slipper length
skirts were softly ga-
thered. To accessorize
the dresses, the atten-
dants wore large pink
horse-hair picture nats
with navy grosgraln rib-
bon.
Attending the bridegroom,
as bestrnan, was his bro-
ther, Kerry Dykes.
Groomsmen were Alan
Leverett and Rick Fos-
ter. Curt and Rusty Hale
served as Junior grooms-
men. Ushers were Junior
Davis of Winnsboro and
Ricky McMaster of Mor-
ton.
For her daughter's wed-
ding, Mrs. Ellenburg wore
a navy knit crepe dress
trimmed in yellow and
wore a yellow cymbldi-
um orchid. The bride-
groom's mother wore a
pink linen dress with a
oink cymbldium orchid.
Immediately following the
ceremony the reception
was held at the Wylie
High School Cafeteria.
The bride's table was laid
with white satin and a cen-
terpiece of pastel colored
flowers flanked by a four-
tiered wedding cake
topped with a miniature
bride and groom.
Members of the House
Party were Cathy Ryan,
Joey Brand adn Vickl
Poole. Brenda Smith re-
gistered the gusts.
For the wedding trip the
bride chose an apple green
full length dress with
white and pink acces-
sories. Her corsage was
the white orchid from her
bouquet.
After a short wedding trip
to New Orleans, the couple
will reside In Wylie.

Saint Barnabas Presbyterian Church in Richardson was the setting lor the
June 24th wedding of Miss Mary Anita Nichols and Garj 1 Paikowski.
The Reverend Ronald E. Hubbard officiated.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James T. Nichol- of Wylie and Mr. and
Mrs. Norbert Paikowski of Richardson.
Mrs. Anthony Foster, sister of the bride, was the matron oi honor, and Miss
Jann Williford was the bridesmaid. Serving his bfothei man wa Robert
Paikowski, and Jim Phillips was groomsman.
The bridegroom Is a student of of North Texas State University. I he bride
also attended North Texas State University where she of the
Delta Zeta Sorority, American Childhood Education Society and Student Education
Society. The couple will reside In Dallas.
