NOTICE ! !
Law Enforcement For Dallas County
As you have read
recently in the two major
Dallas newspapers, the
crime rate in Dallas County
is on a very rapid increase.
With crime on such an
increase the Dallas County
Commissioners' Court is
proposing to drastically
reduce the Dallas Sheriff's
Department patrol division.
This reduction will affect
every citizen of Dallas
County whether you live in
an incorporated city or un-
incorporated area. But
affected the most will be
the smaller towns such as
Sachse who rely totally
upon the Sheriffs Depart-
ment for its law enforce-
ment agency.
If you believe it is the
duty of the Commissioners'
Court, as required by the
Constitution of The State
of Texas, to protect the
health, safety, and welfare
of all of the citizens of
Dallas County, regardless
of their place of residence,
then you are asked to sign
a petition expressing this
desire.
To sign a petition book
you may come by the
Sheriffs Sub-Station in
Sachse or by one of the
grocery stores in Sachse.
If you would like to check
out a book so you can
circulate it among your
friends come by Sheriffs
Sub-Station and see Sgt.
C. W. MeKimiey.
Once again, with crime
statistics on the rise, why
cut law enforcement, and
you the people of Northeast
Dallas County be the ones
to suffer.

Burning Permits
Because of all the brush,
etc., left from all of the
tree destruction, caused by
the past winter storms, the
Fire Department can and
will issue burning permits.
The Fire Department
asks that you assist them in
helping you and protecting
others.
Permit Requirements are
as follows:
Materials to be burned
must not make a black
smoke (must not contain
old tires, roofing materials
or rubber substance, etc.)
and material to be burned
will have to be at least fifty
(50) feet from any building
or structure.
Material to be burned
can only be burned between
9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
These times are set by the
State of Texas laws.
If the fire dept. issues a
burning permit and a com-
plaint is received and these
requirements have not been
followed, the fire dept. will
have to put the fire out.
Material must be checked
by the fire dept. before a
permit can be issued.
You are responsible for
any damage or loss to any
property that may be
caused by the fire which
you set.
Ii' you know that you
will be burning soon, we ask
that you let the fire dept.
know at least one day in
advance, and they will issue
you a burning permit. Please
do not wait until you are
ready to set the fire before
you call. Your cooperation
will help us all.
