A closed work session on
personnel was held prior to
regular council meeting. A
work session on all agenda
items was held after the closed
session.
Mayor Anderson opened the
regular council meeting with all
members present.
Brookview Estates multi-
family site plan was tabled and
will be resubmitted to P&Z.
Bids were opened on the
water department truck that
was to be salvaged. Four bids
were received, $381.00,
$255.00, and $105.00. Council
approved the sale of the truck
to Ray Miller Wrecking for
$381.00, which was the high
bid.
Bids for a new water depart-
ment truck were opened. Only
two bids were received,
$7,742.47 & $6,999.00. All bids
were denied because the bidder
did not bid on what was asked
for.
Councilman stated the city
was behind with the city map
and it should be updated. City
engineer will ask for a price to
upgrade the map. Councilman
Bailey will check with some
organizations to sell maps.
Councilman Stewart pre-
sented the letter to be sent to
property owners on Hwy. 78 in
regards to cleaning up the
highway. He presented three
things that should be done,
removal of vacant trailer dental
office, remove abandoned
autos and screening of storage
of cement forms in front of
property. Letter will be put on
next work session agenda for
discussion.
Councilman Stewart stated
as it was discussed in the work
session, we are in compliance
with state law. If we make any
changes, it should be in Section
4. Council approved redrafting
Ordinance *272.
Council discussed the Dec.
12 Christmas party at City
Hall.

to discuss King & Jamieson
1980/81 fiscal audit. After
discussion the council voted to
wait to pay the remaining
$1,810.53 until King & Jam-
ieson furnishes the council with
a copy of the letter signed by
Mayor Jim Anderson.

Council approved by a 3 to 2
vote changing Rainey Loveil's
property from R-5 to Duplex
zoning. Councilmembers Gor-
don, Bailey and Yates voted
for, Stewart and Sebesta voted
against.
Council approved a special
use permit for a Christian Day
Care Center in the 5500 block
of Brookview.
P & Z's recommendation on
Rainey Lovdl's public hearing
was rejected by a 3 to 2 vote.
Council approved P & Z's
recommendation for a Chris-
tian Day Care Center in the
5500 block of Brookview.
Council accepted P & Z's
recommendation to accept the
dedication for the proposed ex-
tension of Salmon Street to
Sachse Road.
P&Z recommended the
final site plan for multi-family
in Brookview Estates be ac-
cepted. Council approved.

ritt Rd. was tabled.
Annual Fire Dept. report
was tabled.
Following bids on Water
Dept. truck were received:
Preston II Chrysler/Dodge
-$6,574.55, Treadway/Toyota
-$7,524.50, Courtesy/Datsun
-$7,297.00 & Late Chevrolet
-$8,236.09. Council approved
Late Chevrolet's bid if the
mileage is comparable with
Toyota & Datsun.
Contract with Dallas Co. for
restaurant inspection & ap-
pearance on Hwy. 78 was tabl-
ed.
Each councilmember is to
prepare a list of streets in need
of repairs and submit to coun-
cil next meeting.
In a letter from city engineer
prices were stated for the study
of drainage on Cornwall. Jim-
mie White, resident stated he
would pay the cost to deter-
mine the size pipe he could use.
Council discussed levees
built along the west bank of
Muddy Creek, south of Plea-
sant Valley Rd.
No building permit was re-
quested from the city since Mr^
Scheid stated that he did
build the levees, but oF
repaired them to their original
state. City's reply to the law
firm will be that the City of
Sachse did not issue a building
permit for the building of the
levee.

Officer.
Mavor Anderson also ad-
ministered the oath of office to
Gary Sawyer as Sachse Police
Reserve Officer.
