Can your needs be met
better in a church than
anywhere else? Recent
surveys are showing that
many people are finding this
to be true. After trying to find
fulfillment ana contentment
through different avenues
such as relationships, wealth,
accomplishments and edu-
cation, people are deciding

place, but they are not the
answer to life's real needs.
Many folks are entering
church for the first time in
hope that they will find a true
relationship with God and an
understanding of His pre-
scription for a complete and
contented life.
We are beginning to see
that the religious freedom
that our forefathers fought for
was the greatest of all their
gifts to posterity.
Too long we have had our
emphasis on the wrong areas
of our freedoms, but we are
starting to see the importance
of the freedom to worship.
Which church is doing the
best job?
The answer is there are
many. Some have lost sight of
their purpose, however, and,
like our government, have
become too political to be
practical The people who are
searching for this "right"
church are steering away
from the very "religious"
because they tend to be more
concerned with form and
procedure than the individual
and his or her pursuit of God.
The Bible has proved to be
an interesting book - filled
with history, prophesy and
practical teaching. It's
amazing how many
prophesies have come about
and how the central theme of
sin and forgiveness (ul-
timately through Jesus
Christ) is kept so pure. This is
even more amazing when you
realize there are more than
40 writers over a 1,500 year
period who came from
different countries and
varying backgrounds. These
facts simply give greater
credit to the position that
God Himself is really the
author, even though men

Question: "Who is lost and
why? How are they saved? -
A Wylie reader.
Paul said that all are lost
because all have sinned.
Romans 3:23. He was
referring to all who are able to
understand right from wrong
and thus are judged
accountable for their sins.
An alien sinner (a person
who has not obeyed the
gospel of Christ) remains lost
until born again (baptized)
into the body of Christ. Read
John 3:3-5; Romans 6:1 6;
Galatians 3:26-27; I Peter
3:21.
The lost of every nation can
be saved by God's grace
through faith (obedient belief).
Ephesians 2:8-10. God gives
specific commands that must
be obeyed in order for a
person to become saved. God
has made provisions for
man's salvation. Man must
know the truth, John 8:32,
believe the truth, John 8:24:
obey the truth, II Thess-
alonians 1:7-8; and continue
faithful to God, Revelation
2:10; I Corinthians 15' 57-58.
All people go astray 'is they
arrive at the accountable age.
Exceptions might be those
who are mentally in-
competent. The sinner then
needs to be cleansed by the
blood of Christ as he washes
away our sins and we are
baptized, Romans 6:3-4; Mark
16:15-16, Acts 2.36-38,47.
In Revelation 1:5, "Unto him
that loved us, and washed us
from our sins in his own
blood." We must all become
serious about seeking the
right path to Jesus, and then
remain faithful to God's
calling through his son Jesus.
