Wylie
recognized

By Judy Truesdell
Staff Writer
jtruesdell@wylienews.com
Gadberry Group in Little
Rock, Ark., has named Wylie as
number eight on its list of the
top nine most notable high-
growth areas in the U.S.
Gadberry Group's Web site
describes the company as one
that provides location-based
services and information data
for the world's top retail brands
to assist them in their choice of
new stores and restaurant loca-
tions.
Four out of the nine top cities
are in Texas. The complete
"Gadberry Group's 9 from
2009" list is, in order, Braselton,
Ga., Atascocita (Houston sub-
urb), Spring Hill, Tenn.,
Lincoln, Calif., Katy (Houston
suburb). Wake Forest, N.C.,
Mansfield (Dallas suburb),
Wylie, and Buckeye, Ariz.
"Compiling the 2009 list was
especially interesting as we
anticipated the impact of current
economic conditions," said
Larry Martin, Gadberry Group
principal.
Martin also said that, in light
of current economic challenges,
the 2009 list might well include
the "most resilient areas fea-
tured yet."
Gadbury Group's Top 9
1. Braselton, Ga.
2. Atascocita, Texas
3. Spring Hill, Tenn.
4. Lincoln, Calif.
5. Katy, Texas
6. Wake Forest, N.C.
7. Mansfield, Texas
8. Wylie, Texas
