Frederick W. Kern III
Graveside services for
Frederick William Kern III, 77,
of Dallas were held Jan. 23,
2010, at the Wylie Cemetery.
Mr. Kern died Jan. 20 in
Dallas.
He was born Sept. 2,1932, in
Queens, N.Y., to the late
Frederick William Kern Jr. and
Marie Anna Ebert Kern. He
served in the Navy during the
Korean Conflict. He married the
late Jimmie Chestine Loughlin
Feb. 9, 1957, in Wylie and later
married Tanna Lynn Wilderson
Feb. 14, 1995. in Mesquite.
Survivors include his wife,
Tanna Kern of Dallas; children,
Fred Kern IV of Waxahachie,
Elizabeth Taylor and her hus-
band Roy of Nevada, Tarrie
Rohne of Garland, Tammie
Cloutier of Sachse and Brian
Britton of Dallas; grandchil-
dren, Justin Kern, Ericka Taylor,
Brenda Minissale and her hus-
band Chris, Kirby Taylor,
Preston Taylor, Tanner Rohne,
Tyler Rohne, Devin Cloutier,
Chance Cloutier, Trevor
Cloutier, Elise Cloutier, Trent
Cloutier, Chase Cloutier and Avi
Britton; and great-grandchil-
dren, Ryan Minissale, Carmine
Minissale and Marlena Rohne.
The family would like to
thank Mr. and Mrs. Abdullah for
the loving care they provided
and the staff of Juliette Fowler
Home.
Pearlie Mae Ellis
Funeral services for Pearlie
Mae Ellie of Wylie were held
Jan. 21, 2010, at the Allen
Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment followed at the
Wylie Cemetery.
The Rev. Blake Switzer
officiated.
Mrs. Ellis died Jan. 18.
She was born Jan. 18, 1936,
in Lavon to the late Jasper
Rollins and Zella Buckley
Rollins. She married Melvin
Ellis July 16, 1955, in Wylie.
He survives.
She was a member of the
Lakeview Baptist Church of
Wylie.
Other survivors include her
son, Richard Ellis of Wylie;
brothers. Homer Rollins and
his wife Ruby of Lavon, Roy
Rollins and his wife Linda of
Edgewood and Jackie Rollins
and his wife Wanda of Wylie;
sisters, Marie Espinosa and
her husband Moses of
Garland, Faye Quimby of
Modesto, Calif., and Thelma
Davis and her husband Johnny
of Lucas.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, Jasper and
Zella Rollins; brother, Julius
Rollins; sister, Irene Fry; and
numerous nieces and
nephews.
Arrangements were under
the direction of Allen Funeral
Home of Wylie.
